Walk description:

A lovely woodlands walk around a large pond, taking between 20 and 30 minutes. There are a few gentle slopes but nothing steep. The surface is of well bedded stones covered by a thin layer of pine needles but they are not a problem. The route starts between two stones and is marked with arrow posts at several points. A much shorter alternative is to go 50 metres beyond the car park for a fine pond view.

Additional notes:

Access is signed from the A714 3.5 miles NW of Newton Stewart. Follow the rather pot-holed forest track ahead for about 500 metres to a small car park.
